Reading “We” by Yevgeny Zamyatin spoke to me so strongly that it instantly became one of my favorite all-time reads. I loved the conflict of math and expression/art, of the rational and the irrational. That conflict speaks to who I am in this world and my own internal conflicts, both today and in 1997 when I first read the book.
